"The White Mountains of Crete"
Stretching over 19 kilometres in the West of the island of Crete, the White Mountains or "Lefka Ori" are a dominant feature of the landscape towering over the numerous orange and olive groves. As a reference for a future painting I've done a series of preliminary sketches to capture this stunning scenery.

A recent trip to the island of Crete staying near Chania and exploring the countryside South through the orange and olive groves to the village of Meskla and the mountain range " Lefka Ori" or "White Mountains"
